Free Roof and Exterior Check
Every Bauss Handyman job includes a free 5-minute check of your roof and exterior, done from the ground or a ladder. You get photos in your job report. We do not repair roofs: if we see damage, we send you the photos and connect you with a roofing contractor for a full inspection.
What we look for
Seven Things, Five Minutes
- Shingles that are missing, lifted, creased or cracked
- Granules collecting in the gutters or at the downspouts
- Flashing, pipe boots and vents that look bent, loose or cracked
- Gutters that sag, leak at the seams or have pulled away
- Soft, stained or peeling soffit and fascia
- Siding and trim that is cracked, loose or missing
- Failed caulk around windows, doors and penetrations
How it works
From Ladder To Report
- We look From the ground and from a ladder at the eave, on each side of the house we can reach safely.
- We photograph Each roof slope we can see, plus anything that looks wrong, up close.
- You get the photos They go in your job report the same day, with a plain note on what we saw.
- You decide If nothing is wrong, that is the end of it. If something is, you have photos to show any roofer you choose.

If We Find Damage
Bauss Handyman does not repair roofs. We do not replace shingles, fix flashing or patch decking. The roof repair and rubber roof repair pages on this site describe work that FullClaim Restoration does, not work we do ourselves.
When the check turns up damage, we send you the photos and offer to connect you with FullClaim Restoration, an Oklahoma-registered roofing contractor, for a full inspection.
You should know how we are connected. We work with that company: Chris and Mason also do roof inspections for them. That is a business relationship, and we would rather tell you than have you wonder. You are never required to use them, the photos are yours either way, and a second opinion from another roofer is always a fair idea.

Roof Check Questions
Is the roof check really free?
Yes. It is part of every job we do, whatever the job is, and it adds nothing to your invoice. It takes about five minutes and the photos go into the same report as your before and after shots.
Do you get on the roof?
No. We look from the ground and from a ladder at the eave. That is enough to spot the common problems and photograph them. A full inspection on the roof itself is a roofer's job, done with fall protection.
Will you try to sell me a new roof?
No. Bauss Handyman does not repair or replace roofs, so there is nothing for us to sell you on the day. If we see damage, you get the photos and the name of a roofer. What you do next is up to you.
Can I get a roof check without booking a handyman job?
The check is included with jobs and with Home Care Plan visits. If the roof is your only concern, such as after a hail storm, tell us when you call and we will point you to a roofing contractor for a full inspection.
