Same spot, same connections

This page is about swaps: a new faucet where the old faucet was, or a new toilet where the old toilet sat, hooked to the same supply and drain. That is what keeps the price firm. The water gets shut off at the valve under the sink or behind the toilet, and we check that the valve actually holds before anything comes apart.

Faucets go in with new supply lines, and we clean the sink deck so the new base seals. Toilets get a new wax ring and a new supply line every time, because reusing either is how slow leaks start. Our fixture kit on the truck carries supply lines and wax rings, so a standard swap does not wait on a parts run. Before we leave, we run the water, flush several times and check each joint with a dry paper towel.

Small fixes that save a call

Not everything needs a new fixture. A toilet that runs all night usually needs a flapper or fill valve. A loose seat needs new hardware. A dripping faucet often needs only a new cartridge that matches the brand. These repairs are billed at $85 an hour with the $149 minimum covering the first hour, so pair a few of them on one visit.

Where we stop and refer a plumber

We do like-for-like swaps and minor fixture repairs only. No water heaters, no gas lines, no drain lines, and no moving or adding supply lines. If the job needs new plumbing, we will refer you to a licensed plumber.

We also stop when forcing it would make it worse. A shutoff valve that is seized or leaking, a cracked or rusted toilet flange, or a soft subfloor under the toilet all need a plumber before a new fixture goes on. A faucet with a different hole pattern than your sink may need a different faucet or a deck plate, which is why we ask for a photo of the old one first.

The process

How A Faucets and Toilets Job Goes

  1. Send the old one

Text a photo of the old faucet from above and the pipes under the sink, or the toilet and the valve behind it.

  2. Price before booking

We check that the new one fits the same spot and connections, then send a firm written price before you book.

  3. Swap and leak test

Water off, old fixture out, new one in with fresh lines and seals. Then we run water and watch every joint.

  4. Report and a free check

You get before and after photos, and we run a free 5 minute roof and exterior check before we go.

Questions

Faucets and Toilets Questions

How much does it cost to replace a faucet in Yukon?

A like-for-like faucet swap is $149, labor only, for a kitchen or bath faucet going into the same holes with the same connections. You supply the faucet. Running toilets, dripping cartridges and similar small fixes are billed at the hourly rate of $85.

What does a toilet swap include?

A like-for-like toilet swap is $199. We pull the old toilet, clean the flange, and set your new one on a new wax ring with a new supply line, then check for leaks and wobble. If you want the old toilet taken away, ask when you text so it goes into the quote.

Will my new faucet fit my sink?

Look at how many holes your sink has and how far apart they are, then check the new faucet's box. A one-hole faucet can cover a three-hole sink with a deck plate. A mismatch the other way may need a different faucet. Send a photo of the old one first.

What if the shutoff valve will not turn off?

We stop. Forcing a seized or corroded shutoff valve can snap it and flood the room. A valve that will not close, or one that leaks, needs replacing, and that is work for a licensed plumber. Once a working valve is in, we can finish the swap.

Can you fix a toilet that keeps running?

Usually, yes. A running toilet most often needs a new flapper, a new fill valve or a chain adjustment. These parts are inexpensive, and the fix is billed at the hourly rate. If the tank or bowl is cracked, replacing the toilet is the better spend.
