TV Mounting in Yukon, OK

TV mounting in Yukon starts at $149 for TVs up to 65 inches on a standard wall. That covers finding the studs, anchoring your bracket and leveling the TV. TVs over 65 inches, or any TV going above a fireplace, start at $229.

What a solid mount comes down to

A wall mount is only as strong as what it is screwed into. Drywall alone will not carry a TV for long, so every mount goes into wood framing, or into brick or stone with anchors made for masonry. We find the studs, check behind the wall for wiring and plumbing, and set the bracket so the weight sits on framing.

Then it has to look right. We level the bracket, hang the TV, check it again and adjust the tilt. If the studs do not land where you want the TV centered, we talk through the options before we drill: a wider bracket plate, a small shift left or right, or a full motion arm that lets the screen sit off center from the studs.

Fireplaces, big screens and tricky walls

Three things move a job from the standard rate to the larger one: a screen over 65 inches, a mount above a fireplace, or a wall that is not plain drywall over wood studs. Big screens are a two-hand lift and need heavier hardware. Fireplaces usually mean drilling brick, stone or tile, and the area above a working firebox can run warm.

Metal studs, plaster and tile over block can all be mounted, but they need different anchors. A photo tells us most of what we need to know, so send one and we will quote the right rate the first time.

Sound bars, shelves and the rest of the wall

While we are there, the same visit can cover the pieces around the TV: a sound bar bracket, a floating shelf for the cable box, or the old mount coming off another wall with the holes patched. Extra items run at the hourly rate of $85, billed in 30 minute steps, and we give you that total in writing before we start.

If you have a list of small jobs around the house, a half-day block often costs less than booking each one alone.

The process

How A TV Mounting Job Goes

  1. Text us the wall

Send a photo of the wall, the TV size and the bracket if you have one. Tell us if the wall is drywall, brick or stone.

  2. Get a firm price

You get a written price before we book. If the job fits a flat rate, that is the number.

  3. We mount it

We find framing, mark the height with you, anchor the bracket and hang the TV. Most single TVs take about an hour.

  4. Photo report

You get before and after photos, and we run the free roof and exterior check before we leave.

Questions

TV Mounting Questions

How much does it cost to mount a TV in Yukon?

A TV up to 65 inches on a standard drywall wall is $149, labor only. A TV over 65 inches, or one going above a fireplace, starts at $229. You get the final price in writing before any work starts.

Do I need to buy the wall bracket first?

It helps. Most people buy a bracket that matches their TV size and how they want it to move: fixed, tilting or full motion. If you would rather we bring one, tell us the TV model and we will pick it up at cost plus 20%.

Can you hide the cords inside the wall?

We can run cords through paintable covers on the wall surface so they sit flat and out of the way. Running power inside the wall or adding an outlet behind the TV is electrical work. For that we will refer you to a licensed electrician, and we can mount the TV once the outlet is in.

Can you mount a TV over a brick or stone fireplace?

Yes. Masonry takes different anchors and more time, which is why fireplace mounts start at $229. Send a photo first. Some stone veneers and some mantels sit too close to the heat for a TV, and we will say so before you pay for anything.

How high should the TV go?

For most rooms the middle of the screen should sit close to eye level from where you watch. We hold the TV at a couple of heights with you on the couch before we drill, so you choose the spot instead of guessing.
